Clive Booth

Clive has been a director at several world leading PR consultancies and in-house communications roles. Formerly he was global director of public affairs and media relations for ACCA, the professional association for Certified Accountants and JLL the commercial property consultancy. At the start of his career he worked for seven years at the Financial Times and now consults for financial and professional services business both as an editorial content provider and increasingly as an ESG specialist.

A crisis management and media relations expert Clive was a UK Parliamentary candidate in 2005 and was made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce in 2009 for services to the PR industry. He has media trained over 800 delegates in his thirty year career, including the Conservative party when they were in opposition, including ten CEOs from the FTSE’s top twenty companies.

In a communications capacity Clive has advised the following organisations: the Investment Association; Bishop & Sewell solicitors; Scrivener Tibbatts Chartered Surveyors; Octavia Housing Association; the Royal College of Radiologists (£1m X Appeal); RSPCA Mayhew Home; British Medical Ultrasound Society; Combat Stress; Al Muntada Trust and The Earth Centre Millennium Project. In a voluntary capacity: Chairman of the Patients’ Liaison Group at the Royal College of Radiologists; Bowel Research UK; Queen Anne’s Girls’ School, Reading and founder of the ESG Foundation.

Jenifer Thien

After 30+ years of international and C-suite experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, Jenifer established “Grit and Pace” through which she advises corporations on what it takes to drive change, particularly in areas of business strategy & culture, operational excellence, organisational development, ESG and digital transformation. She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the board of UEM Edgenta Berhad, a public listed company in Malaysia.

Jenifer has spent 25 years of her career with Mars Incorporated. In her last role with Mars Inc., she was the Global Chief Procurement Officer based in Chicago, US – the first woman and first Asian to be appointed to this vital leadership position with a diverse team of more than 400 based in 30 countries. She was also the first Asian to serve on the Mars Global Services Leadership Team.

Through “Grit and Pace” today, aside from partnering with corporations, Jenifer contributes her views in various speaking engagements and lends her support as an investor in various start-ups. Jenifer continues to pay it forward through contributing and participating in organizations such as LeadWomen Malaysia, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and the Women’s Aid Organization. She is an active mentor and coach to many young leaders.

Jenifer graduated from University Putra Malaysia with a degree in Food Science & Technology. She is also an alumnus of executive programs at the London Business School, Harvard Business School and Center for Creative Leadership.

Jacinta has more than 27 years’ experience of managing projects/programmes within the communications realm both in-house and as a consultant. This includes time at Securities Commission Malaysia and previously within the ETP Communications team at PEMANDU, Philip Morris Malaysia, Intel Malaysia and the XVI Commonwealth Games Organising Committee. In addition she picked up agency experience during her tenure with Bulletin International and Ogilvy PR in Singapore as well as Bell Pottinger in Kuala Lumpur.

Since setting up Spinmeister Communications in 2018, Jacinta has worked on PR/ Communications programmes for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), PR / Communications leading up to and during Bank Negara Malaysia’s MyFintech Week 2019 & 2022; managed a media outreach programme for 24 Saturn, a skincare technology company from Singapore; led a visibility programme for MABECS, an education consultant for UK education; provided communications support to the National Stroke Association Malaysia for the Stroke Games 2019; managed public affairs and relations for Circles.MD, an innovative clinical communications start-up, and the communications / profiling for DoctorOnCall, Malaysia’s foremost digital health platform. In addition, she currently manages a PR and Communications outreach for leading ECF platform Ata Plus.

Jacinta holds a LL.B (Hons) from the University of London (Ext) and is an active volunteer of the 30% Club Malaysia
