Ahila Ganesan
Ahila has over 20 years of corporate experience including helming the regional profit & loss for prominent property developers in Malaysia. Her vast expertise includes strategic planning, business strategy and development, project management and marketing strategy for projects with multi-billion-ringgit gross development value. A veteran in the local property sector, she has established close relationships with relevant ministries, local governments, and regulators. She is an ESG advocate and certified sustainability professional who is proud of her contributions towards sustainable urbanism in her recent projects. Ahila also serves as an independent non-executive director for UM Holdings, the commercial and investment arm of Universiti Malaya and Velesto Energy Berhad, a public listed company in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Ahila is a sustainability enthusiast and a regular speaker at national and international forums. She also serves as a Special Advisor to ESG Foundation, a global entity located in London. She is an affiliate of Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia, a director member in Lead Women and a registered Professional Architect with the Malaysian Board of Architects. She is a mentor with various institutions including Lead Women, Lean In and Monash University Malaysia.
Ahila holds two bachelors’ degrees, from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Melbourne University. She also has an MBA from Monash University.
